Let’s get to the FUN STUFF — YOGA CLASSES! The schedule is coming soon! Not only that, but the schedule will grow with us as we grow as a studio and yoga community here at The Yoga Plant!
Here are some of the types of yoga classes you can look forward to:
Vinyasa Flow: Vinyasa Flow focuses on the sequential movement between poses, flowing from one pose to another with the breath. It becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom, and fluidity in the body and mind.
Yoga Sculpt: Yoga Sculpt is an upbeat, unique combination of power yoga and strength training designed to create a full-body workout. This class leaves you feeling powerful, refreshed, and uplifted!
Heated and Hot Yoga Flow: Many of our classes will be offered at a heated or hot temperature. The difference is that “heated” classes are about 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit and “hot” classes are about 95-100 degrees. Additionally, our studio humidity levels will be 40-50%. Non-heated classes will be approximately 74 degrees.
Restorative Yoga: Restorative Yoga is focused on supporting the body and allowing it to relax into a pose to focus on healing and rest. You will gently sink into poses to let go of stress and tightness.
CYoga: CYoga classes have a clearly defined theme. The class will prepare the body with a carefully crafted sequence, building up in intensity, and leading to the peak poses. CYoga is intelligent, challenging, motivational, and inspiring!
Hip-Hop Yoga: Yoga paired with Hip–Hop Music. This is an upbeat, high-energy class where you move with the beat! It’s very important to remember that you do not need to have rhythm to move. You just need to move and have fun!
Children’s Yoga: Children’s Yoga sessions are geared toward children’s physical and mental developmental ages. These will be fun, using movement, breathing, and strength! Youth will also be allowed to attend our other yoga classes – with the completion of an orientation to the studio and class expectations.
Yin: This class focuses on deep stretches of the fascia and connective tissue. Relaxing poses are held for approximately 5 minutes to relieve stress, build joint strength, and increase flexibility, circulation, and the flow of energy. Athletes and/or those looking for a deep release – this class is for you!
Beginner Classes: All students are welcome to participate in all our classes, as our teachers offer modifications. It is also perfectly okay to stop and rest at any time during a class. However, we will offer beginner classes for those wanting to start with a slower class that teaches the basics of yoga and breathing.
Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditation: This class takes you on a journey through your body in guided meditation. The process is deeply restorative and rejuvenating as students are guided between wakefulness and sleeping and then systematically brought back to waking.
Hot 26+2 Bikram Yoga: Hot 26+2 Yoga (Bikram Yoga) is a series of 26 Hatha yoga postures & 2 breathing exercises practiced in a hot studio. It is called a beginners series and every Hot 26+2 Yoga class is suitable for all levels, from first-timers to advanced practitioners alike.
A variety of other themed and focused classes and workshops will be offered with a focus on specific body parts or poses with fun and inspiring themes including the lunar cycle, holidays, GLOga, chair yoga, and so much more!
